Who do Jews call pigs?

I think that is a valid question.

I was a (graduate) student at Brandeis University from September 1967 to January 1973.

There was a certain subset of the, probably undergraduate, student body there that rather noisily asserted that
"Cops are pigs".

I wondered why they said that.
My later reading gave a plausible answer.
By demonizing the forces ensuring social order,
they were also demonizing those who benefitted from the then-prevailing social order.

So accusing "Cops are pigs"
was just a way of demonizing the social order.

Now fast-forward to 2024.
Who really is a pig?
Just take a look at:
Barbara Butch https://g.co/kgs/jb5UD9m

Who happens to be Jewish.
An interesting question, for me anyhow:
Will the Jews who called cops pigs
call Barbara Butch a pig?

More broadly,
if there are people in 2024 who call cops pigs,
but do not call Barbara Butch a pig,
just what does "pig" mean to them?

Giving credit, stealing credit

There is an old value,
"Giving credit where credit is due."

I was a young person in the 1950s,
attending public school from 1951 to 1963.
Who educated me?
White women.
They were my teachers.
And I thank them for their help in educating me.
But that was in Wilkinsburg PA and Florissant MO.

Now, let us consider Arlington County, VA.
Who taught the children of Arlington in the 20C?
I don't have a demographic study, but I am almost certain it was predominantly white women.

But who gets the credit for educating the children?
Well, if you know anything about Arlington, you can guess who gets the credit.
A black woman.
See
Syphax Education Center https://g.co/kgs/atCMHpj

Yes, that is the current Arlington way.
Denying credit to whites,
glorifying blacks.
That is the reality.

Who were the Arlington teachers?

I went to public schools from 1951 to 1963.
With one exception (my 12th grade English teacher),
my teachers were 100% white women.
I thank them for the dedication they did to promote my intellectual development.

Now, let me fast forward to Arlington County, Virginia in the 2000s.
For whom does Arlington County name its education center?
You guessed it, a black woman.
See
Syphax Education Center https://g.co/kgs/cGdPSa1

Who did the most for education in Arlington in the 20th century?
And who is honored by the name of its education center?
I think the answer is clear.

Arlington : Trivia Now .com

I generally stay away from commenting on ArlNow.com ,
but this leads me to make an exception:

https://www.arlnow.com/2024/07/31/morning-notes-for-july-31-2024/#disqus_thread

See the initial comments there.

This is what passes for intellectual discourse there?

BTW, the management at ArlNow.com has banned me from commenting there, for a reason which they refuse to divulge or explain.
Indeed, they won't even allow me to upvote or down vote the comments there.
This is their total denial of my ability to express an opinion there.

The "dog whistle" smear

In the news media, you can frequently read descriptions of certain statements as being "dog whistles".
What does this mean?
It means that people who respond to those statements are being compared to dogs.
It really is that simple.

People on the right are this being stigmatized.
But try criticizing those on the left.
You are a bigot, a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a transphobe, an anti-Semite, etc.

What a joke

WaPo's desire to criticize Vladimir Putin has no bounds.

Consider

"Artists say Putin’s push for patriotism is killing Russian culture"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/07/29/russia-culture-artists-putin-nationalism/

WHAT artists?
All artists? Some artists?

Of course WaPo can find some artists who will criticize Putin.
But the assertion in WaPo's headline is absurd.

Why does WaPo publish such anti-Putin crap?

BTW, for a detailed, scholarly, in-depth look at the complexity of Russian society and politics, see

The tragedy of Russia's reforms https://g.co/kgs/bi2Bwus

Far better than WaPo's idiotic propaganda.

------------

There is a parallel:
Artists in Russia, "celebrities" in America.
In America, who decides who is described as a "celebrity"?
It certainly isn't the average American.
No, a certain cultural and media "elite"
decides who is celebrated.
And their tastes and choices run decidedly to the left and political correctness.
You can see the hit job they are doing now on JD Vance.
In France, you can see how the French Olympic organizers celebrated, and put on the world stage, drag queens and obesity.

Is it likely to be any different in Russia?
I fully believe Igor Shafarevich almost surely got it exactly right when he described a "Small Nation" or "Little Nation" within Russia that had contempt and scorn for the values and worth of the average Russian.
See his "Russophobia".
And WaPo is documenting that now, in 2024.
Just look at its headline:

"Artists say Putin’s push for patriotism is killing Russian culture"

Oh yes, wonderful artists, bad Russian patriotism.
Igor Shafarevich would certainly have understood.

It is more than clear that the "Little Nation" of which Shafarevich spoke has come to America, and is firmly in control of America's cultural and media apparatus.

As to what gets described as "art" just consider the disgusting display that was described as "art" at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
This is the promotion of bad behavior.

This is sick

I have had it up to here with homosexual attempts to pervert society.

A glaring example:

https://www.newsweek.com/pastors-counter-conservative-christian-fury-over-olympics-last-supper-performance-1931202

"The reenactment featured drag queens and dancers behind a shimmery blue naked body on a plate at the center of the table."

This at the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics???

Let me be clear:

These people are utterly sick.
This sickness needs to be expunged from our society.

For an excellent coverage of this story, see

https://religionunplugged.com/news/2024/8/1/2024-summer-olympics-the-last-supper-and-what-we-actually-saw-during-the-opening-ceremony

"Believers would be wise to recall the occasion of the actual last supper da Vinci, rather inaccurately, painted.
Far from the nihilism of eat, drink and be merry,
Jesus said He “earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” (Luke 22:15, ESV)

And the biblical last supper was no party for inclusivity, nor an open table —
but the most exclusive occasion “in remembrance” for those who had repented and left their former lives and then hundreds of millions who would follow later."

Lowering the standards

See
https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/29/kamala-harris-california-criminal-justice-00171490

“wholesale reclassification of many dangerous felonies as misdemeanors would put the people of California at continued risk going forward.”

You notice how lowering standards is continually billed, by the left and the media (is there a difference?)
as "reform".

It is also worth noting the opinion by some that "reform" is needed, and almost universally a good thing.
What it all too often means is just the dropping, or at least lowering, of standards.

E.g., a standard I recall:
If a man thought he was a woman, or vice versa,
he or she would be automatically considered a nut job, off their rocker.
Thanks a lot, MDs and PhDs, for your utterly perverted subversion of that standard.
Let's face it:
the American Medical Association
is really
the American Pervert Association.

2024-07-28

Self-serving doctors

Do doctors ever adopt a line which is blatantly self-serving?
Consider their line about the "health-care needs" of "transgenders".

If there was ever a more blatantly self-serving line, I don't know what it is.

Proclaiming that these unfortunate, misguided, people will need an unending stream of income-producing (for doctors) "health care."
Surgeries!
Therapies!
Hormone treatments!
The income stream for the medical community is practically endless.

Yeah, we get it, doctors.
This is just another scheme to keep income rolling your way.

What on earth was this doing at the Olympics?

See
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/drag-performance-resembling-last-supper-olympics-opening-ceremony-rcna163927

“In this scene from the Olympic opening ceremony, the famous painting of The Last Supper is recreated, but Jesus is replaced with an obese woman, while queer and trans figures (including a child!) depict her apostles,”

Super-ugh!

I am okay with homosexuals being left alone to practice sex in the way they like,
but this perversion of classical Christianity is disgusting.
Let those who promote it rot in Hell.

Assaults on the police

How much should police be expected to take before retailiating?

Read this description from CNN:

<Blockquote>“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she says in response.

“Huh?” the deputy says.

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she repeats.

“You better f**king not or I swear to God I’ll f**king shoot you in the f**king face,” Grayson says.

He then draws his firearm and points it at her, and she ducks and says, “I’m sorry” while lifting the pot, the video shows.

“Drop the f**king pot!” both deputies yell.

Three shots are heard. After a few seconds of silence, one deputy says “shots fired” and calls for emergency medical services.

“Dude, I’m not taking f**king boiling water to the f**king head. And look, it came right to our feet, too,” Grayson says.

Minutes after the shooting, Grayson speaks to another law enforcement figure. “She had boiling water and came at me with boiling water,” he says in the video. “She said she was going to rebuke me in the name of Jesus and came at (me) with boiling water.”</blockquote>

So a person throws a pot of boiling water at a policeman.

This is manifestly an assault.

Did the policeman overreact?

Probably so.

But he was reacting to a totally unjustified assault on him.

What justified the woman throwing boiling water at him?

The Ukraine lovers

Examples:

https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/07/24/congress/mark-kelly-rips-jd-vance-on-ukraine-00170878

Has this ever happened before?

I really don't know.
I have never heard of such a horrific event happening before.

Twelve and thirteen year old girls killing an elderly (64 year old) person, by smashing his head in.

See

https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/03/29/girls-charged-fatal-beating/

Cellphone video shows girls fatally beating man in Northwest D.C.

D.C. prosecutor played cellphone video she said showed group of five girls stomping 64-year-old Reggie Brown’s head into the pavement"The graphic, minute-long cellphone video clip showed a group of five girls chasing a 64-year-old man with disabilities into a Northwest alley. As he tried to climb up a chain fence, the girls pulled him down and stomped his head into the pavement. They pulled his pants down around his ankles, removed his belt and beat him with it.

Then, as Reggie Brown lay on the ground in a pool of blood, the girls became jubilant, laughing and chatting. “He’s leaking,” one of the girls cheered, referring to Brown’s bleeding from his head."

"Girls, ages 12 to 15, took selfies after recording themselves beating man to death, prosecutors say"

How will the left excuse this!!!!
No doubt they will try to blame this on white people or racists, their preferred villains.
When they are not ignoring such horrendous events that don't fit their preferred narrative, of racists as villains.

We know this about the left:
They don't give a **** about reality.
Just about their preferred narratives.
And the pathologies they have encouraged and enabled.

-----

I was just watching Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu giving an address to the U.S. Congress, in which he spoke of:

"A clash between barbarism and civilization.
A clash between those who glorify death and those who sanctify life."

Well, now we know who glorifies death.

All lives matter

Is that a racist statement?
Of course not.
It is obviously inclusive.
But some argue it is racist.
How bizarre.

Bizzaro world

Read this story:

Part of it:

Brittney Griner
"revealed she hopes her son will call her "pops" instead of "mom." "

Huh?
If that isn't gender confusion, what is?

What ethnic or group solidarity is allowed?

For an example, see

" “We need to defend our sister everywhere”: Inside the organizing call for [Kamela] Harris"

In comparison, suppose someone was to say
"We need to defend our brothers everywhere",
referring to white males.
Can you imagine the reaction?

How support for Ukraine harms America

We have all read various people expressing their support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.

But let's see how support for Ukraine has harmed America.

See
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/next-generation-us-jet-fighter-program-may-get-hit-by-budget-woes-2024-07-22/

"sources said the current development budget of $28.5 billion over five years ending in 2029 could be spread out over more time or scaled-back as the Pentagon searches for a cost-effective solution."

Gee, "$28.5 billion over five years ending in 2029", too much! America just can't afford it.
But OTOH, $61 billion for Ukraine in 2024, and unending support for Ukraine in the future, Yeah!

Talk about misguided priorities!

2024-07-17

A false dichotomy

This article
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/07/17/jd-vance-reagan-gop-foreign-policy-00168862
divides people between isolationists and interventionists.

Far too crude a distinction.

The real issue is: WHICH foreign conflicts should the U.S. engage in?

Definitely not over who controls Ukraine.
1. The historical record, concerning the legitimacy of the respective claims, is mixed.
2. In any case, what difference does that make to the U.S.?
Next to nothing.

OTOH, consider something that really matters to the U.S.:
Who controls Germany.
Now Germany is an independent, self-governing country.
But suppose it were a province of the Russian Federation.
That would really be significant to the U.S.

The point is:
All foreign interventions are not equally significant (to or for America), or justifiable.

The abortion issue

I can see both sides of this issue.
Can I say "You are both right"?

I understand why people on each side of this issue are so emotional and wrapped up.

I wish there were a compromise that would please both sides.

One might propose a 15-week ban:
Abortions up to 15-weeks after fertilization are legal.
Thereafter they are illegal.

That would make both sides unhappy.
But is it the best compromise that is possible?

"faithfully execute their duties"

There have been a number of reactions to the near-fatal attack on Donald Trump.
Here is mine.

Somebody had responsibility for

1. identifying all locations within both gunshot and eyesight range of the stage at Trump's rally, and
2. ensuring that all such locations were secure while the event was ongoing.

Obviously those tasks were not successfully performed.
The question is:
Why?

2024-07-14

The media clown show

Get a load of this:

"alleged security lapses"

https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/07/14/trump-rally-shooting-updates/green-grills-secret-services-cheatle-00168178

Hello, doofus:

There were real security lapses that enabled a person with a rifle to be on a rooftop with a clear line of sight to former president Trump.

What a moron the author of that media post is to not acknowledge that.

The full paragraph in which the above quoted phrase appeared:

"The phone call between Cheatle and Green is the latest sign of Republican lawmakers’ growing furor over the alleged security lapses that led to the attack on Trump in Bethel Park this Saturday — with many already pointing the finger at the Secret Service."

-------

Yet another example:

"A bullet grazed Trump’s ear — coming just shy of what many said would have been a fatal blow to the head."

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/14/trump-shooting-6-questions-00168184

Look, yoyo.
A bullet to the head is almost certain to be fatal.
Why can't you say that yourself?

----------

For a real problem, in my opinion, see

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/3081543/violence-against-gop-politicians-continues/

"labeled an assassination attempt"

That is a direct, verbatim, quote from this Politico article:

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/13/hill-republicans-trump-rally-shooting-00167995

Some context:

"The shooting, which several GOP lawmakers immediately labeled an assassination attempt ..."

And that has been quite standard in how the media have been describing this.
They refused to, in their own voice, declare this an assassination attempt.

If not that, what else was it?
A bullet actually striking president Trump.
Coming within an inch of killing him, with a headshot.
Again, if that wasn't an assassination attempt, what was it?

--------

Another example:

"White House says President Biden spoke with Donald Trump after apparent attempt on the Republican’s life"

https://www.wbal.com/white-house-says-president-biden-spoke-with-donald-trump-after-apparent-attempt-on-the-republicans-life/

Apparent?
What planet are these people living on?

Apparently the same planet where biological sex is an "assignment", not a reality.
Fuck you, doctors.

-------

See also:

Why the fuck does the media keep calling this
"an apparent assassination attempt"?
Their heads are so far up their asses it isn't funny.

Decline of Christianity leads to rise of cancer

What a religious nut, you say.

But check this out:

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/11/health/cancer-cases-deaths-preventable-factors-wellness/index.html

"Other key risk factors included excess body weight, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, diet and infections such as HPV."

I.e., factors traditionally associated with an unhealthy lifestyle.

Physical inactivity and excess body weight.
Now, where have I heard warnings against those before?

Well, some of us older folks may recall something called
"The Seven Deadly Sins."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins

"the seven deadly sins in Christianity are pride, vanity, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth.'

Let's see,
avoiding sloth, gluttony and lust
should take care of
physical inactivity, excess body weight, and STDs.

But who pays attention to such old fashioned ideas as sin anymore?

Maybe Christianity had the right ideas and values after all.

The demand to spend more, more, more on healthcare

The ads advocating spending apparently unbounded sums on healthcare seem ubiquitous on both television and the Internet.
I read Politico, and they certainly seem ubiquitous there.
E.g., among many, reading https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/08/hill-dems-brace-for-fight-over-bidens-future-to-get-worse-00166950
produced an ad

Democrats: Ukraine si, U.S. defense no

See
https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4759957-sentinel-nuclear-missile-program-certified/

" [Sentinel's] ballooning costs attracting increased scrutiny from Democrats on Capitol Hill.

...

Gen. James Slife, vice chief of staff for the Air Force,
told reporters Monday that in the future they may have to
“decide what trade-offs we’re going to need to make in order to be able to continue to pursue the Sentinel program.” "

You could anticipate this.
Having squandered $61 billion on Ukraine,
the Democrats now turn a gimlet eye on U.S. defense procurement costs.

For a more detailed look at Sentinel's rising costs, see this AP story:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/sentinel-nuclear-warhead-program-81-200009157.html

See also:
https://www.twz.com/air/problem-plagued-sentinel-icbm-program-will-press-ahead-despite-nearly-doubling-in-cost

Again, that $61 billion sent to Ukraine sure could have been better spent on supporting the U.S. military, IMO.

The politicization of the professions

Are medicine and education both professions?
I think so.
Let me give examples of how each has been politicized.

For medicine, consider this:
https://www.ama-assn.org/about/leadership/reckoning-medicine-s-history-racism

"Already, [our] center has become a recognized voice nationally on issues of equity and social justice in medicine."

"equity and social justice in medicine"?
That sounds to me like the introduction of social or political issues into medicine.

As a personal example, when I visited my local hospital and later checked their online records concerning me, I found they described my sex as
"Assigned Male at birth".
Hello.
I am a man.
I have two testicles and a penis, which are quite capable of producing semen, even at my age in the 70s.
That is a reality, a fact of biology and anatomy,
not of my psychology, of whom I identify with,
and certainly not a mere assignment.
But the white coats at that hospital can't, or won't, acknowledge that.
To claim that my maleness is merely an assignment is, IMO, an act of profound intellectual dishonesty.

 Now let's skip to education.
The president of the National Education Association in 2024 gave a keynote speech that oozes a political point of view:

https://youtu.be/E2ifRgiOOJ8

"We won't go back.
...
We have to transform [the educational system] into something it was never designed to be ..."

You can listen to the first few minutes of it to see if you agree.

--------

In conclusion, it looks to me like
both the AMA (American Medical Association) and NEA (National Education Association)
have gone woke.

"Not one inch Eastward"

The U.S. Treasury secretary and Attorney General both in Ukraine!

Why on earth would Janet Yellen and Merrick Garland both travel to Kyiv (in 2023}?
"Yellen and Garland perform back-to-back surprise visits to Ukraine"
https://www.unz.com/pgiraldi/send-in-the-clowns/
(This article is really worth reading.)

One possible reason is that both are Jewish, and Ukraine was for a long time where many Jews lived (the Pale of Settlement and all that).

Oh wait. Ukraine is now a vital U.S. strategic interest.
I wonder why.

My view on what Joe should do

Say:

"I got it.
I am simply too old to be president.
As we get older, our facilities lapse.

So I will not run for reelection.
Let the Democrats decide who they want to run as my replacement.

As for me, I will try to be the best grandfather I can be for my grandkids.
When I am not putting my slippered feet on the footstool :-)"

------------

A key factor in determining who wins the 2024 presidential election:

"There is no winning the election for a Democrat without huge Black turnout in places like Milwaukee WI, Detroit MI, Philadelphia PA and Atlanta GA,
and they don’t believe the Democratic Party or an alternative would get there after shoving her aside —
especially because none of the other leading contenders are Black.

“I actually don’t think that anybody else other than her would beat Trump because of what you’d lose in the base,”
said Rep. Gregory Meeks, a New York congressman and senior CBC member."

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/05/politics/kamala-harris-democrats-biden/index.html

You notice the CNN article specifically mentioned the issue of turnout of African-American voters in, e.g., Milwaukee WI.
As it happens, a related issue was the subject of a recent Conservative Treehouse article:

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/07/03/james-clyburn-visits-10-key-precincts-for-ballot-collection-in-three-wisconsin-cities-madison-milwaukee-beloit-and-no-one-notices/

------

There are numerous clips of Biden stumbling around, verbally.
I don't know how significant these are.

----------

For a claim that the media actively covered up Joe Biden's mental issues, read:

Trump-hating White House media betrayed voters by hiding Biden's alarming condition, and now it could backfire

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/trump-hating-white-house-media-betrayed-voters-hiding-bidens-alarming-condition-now-could-backfire

"Reporters were not allowed to communicate with Biden’s physician or see his full medical records, a standard element of White House coverage that has caused drama in every previous administration, but has rarely been refused."

--------------

I have read a number of the comments to the videos (of doctors discussing Biden) in this playlist:
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZlQy6FlDBO2kE0-lb1mSa6k1YaxUOYMW

What is striking is the number of commentators who have said something like:

"My parent, or parent-in-law,
exhibited signs exactly like Biden exhibited in his debate with Trump.
The halting gait, the blank face, the lack of memory, the inability to make an argument to its conclusion.
They had Parkinson's, and their subsequent decline was not pretty."

Now it is said:

"Look, Joe gave a great speech to open the NATO summit."

My response:
The intellectual ability to read a speech from a teleprompter that someone else had written isn't very much.
Being commander-in-chief requires far more than that.

The question for Joe Biden is this:

Does he want to be remembered for his achievements,
or for his refusal to acknowledge his cognitive decline?

How support for Ukraine harms the United States

We all watched the propaganda campaign to persuade Congress and the general public to go along with spending $61 billion on aid to Ukraine.
What you did not see was a discussion of how this harmed the United States.

Well, here is a fact:
The U.S. budget dedicated to defense is not infinite.
Having allocated that $61 billion to Ukraine, who is going to be left in the lurch?

Well, for example, see

https://defensescoop.com/2024/06/21/air-force-ngad-delay-cancellation-analysis

"on June 13 Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin hinted the service might be reevaluating plans due to funding constraints. He later told reporters during a June 14 briefing that “deliberations are still underway” and that the department is “looking at a lot of very difficult options that we have to consider.”
...
The [Air Force] certainly has no shortage of budget-related concerns.
...
“Because of this chronic underfunding, the Air Force must now modernize almost every element of its aging forces, including the two legs of the nuclear triad it is responsible for — the ICBM force and nuclear-capable bombers. After funding nuclear modernization, there is little budget left for other modernization programs” "

Hello, Ukraine.
American politicians: Stooges of the Ukraine lobby.

The need to protect women

Should sports contests designated for women,
be invaded by men who claim they are women?
I.e., female impersonators.
Absolutely not.
Women need to be protected from these female impersonators.
And certainly not have to compete in athletic contests with men pretending to be women.

Joe Biden's two options

I think that today, July 4 2024,
Joe Biden has only two reasonable, responsible, options:

1. State that he will not seek reelection to a second term.
allowing the Democrats to choose who they do want to be their candidate in November 2024.
Whether he in addition resigns before his first term ends, turning power over to Kamela Harris, is a remaining open question.

2. Hold a full-blown, 90-minute press conference, without a teleprompter,
where he has to answer questions from reporters that were not previewed to him in advance.
I.e., show that he can still think on his feet, giving answers that are reasonable (according to his political perspective) to incoming questions.

Anything between those two alternatives leaves open too many significant questions.

American politicians and the Russia-North Korea alliance

There have been multiple reports in the news about Russia and North Korea strengthening their alliance, leading to
North Korea sending military supplies to Russia, and in return
Russia supplying technological assistance to help North Korea develop its weapons program yet further.

Is this good for the United States?
Of course not.

What caused Russia to enter into such a close relation with North Korea?
It is a reaction to the actions the U.S. has taken against Russia, over the Russia-Ukraine war.
And why did the U.S. take those actions?
Because the U.S., specifically U.S. politicians, cannot acknowledge the legitimacy of Russia's concerns that led at its attack on Ukraine that started in February 2022.
See John Mearsheimer,
"Why is Ukraine the West's Fault?", 2015, 75 minutes
https://youtu.be/JrMiSQAGOS4

And why do American politicians so support Ukraine?
Well of course one factor is surely because that is what elite media is telling them they should do.
But I suspect there is another, more significant to them, reason:
Because that is what their campaign donors want them to do.

Here we have someone with cognitive issues with his hand on the nuclear button.”

How could Joe Biden put this question behind him?
Hold a 90-minute press conference, allowing questions of which he does not have advance knowledge.
No teleprompters.
No speechwriters.
Just Joe and the reporters.
Let's see how he deals with the questions.
