" [Sentinel's] ballooning costs attracting increased scrutiny from Democrats on Capitol Hill.

...

Gen. James Slife, vice chief of staff for the Air Force,
told reporters Monday that in the future they may have to
“decide what trade-offs we’re going to need to make in order to be able to continue to pursue the Sentinel program.” "

You could anticipate this.
Having squandered $61 billion on Ukraine,
the Democrats now turn a gimlet eye on U.S. defense procurement costs.

Again, that $61 billion sent to Ukraine sure could have been better spent on supporting the U.S. military, IMO.
