There is no excuse

Lindsay Clancy killed her kids, by strangling them to death.
There is no excuse for that.
She knew what she was doing.

All this blah blah blah about hormones doesn't excuse her from responsibility for the horrendous act she did.
She is responsible for what she did.
Not the health care providers or "the system."

2026-09-28

The ugliness of "Women in pink" supporting Lindsay Clancy

There could be nothing uglier than people making excuses for a person who murders his or her own children. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

Robert Savage versus Lynn Conway

See
https://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/LynnsStory.html

Yes, I get that Robert has made important contributions to technology.
But was he a good father to his daughters?
That is what counts.

What is important?

Enough with his fraud scheme.

The "validation" and "affirmation" fallacies

Suppose someone says "black is white" or "the earth is flat." Should I affirm or validate that? Of course not.
No more should anyone be expected to affirm or validate "trans women are women," etc.

Kevin Reddington - an absolute scumbag

Could there be anything worse than Kevin Reddington?
It is hard to imagine it. Why? His attempt to defend, or make excuses for, people who murder their own children. There can be no excuse for such behavior.

I have listened to Reddington. He runs a distraction machine. What about those pills in the cup? Were they crushed? How were they crushed?

So what. The key fact is that those three children, who deserved a future, are dead, strangled to death. Reddington's attempts to distract from that are an abomination.

On government regulation of AI

That is a hot topic in 2026.
For some background, see
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/12/20/big-tech-gets-worried-about-trumps-ai-czar-00701112
and for some 2026 updates see
https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2026/09/03/congress/bernie-sanders-greg-casar-ai-superintelligence-ban-01063277
and
https://www.politico.com/news/2026/09/24/trump-xi-jinping-ai-01091337

There are at least three prominent examples of government regulation of industry and technology:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Consumer_Product_Safety_Commission?wprov=sfla1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_and_Drug_Administration?wprov=sfla1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_Regulatory_Commission?wprov=sfla1

The latter seems particularly appropriate, as both nuclear energy and AI pose prominent risks to public safety (AI due to its potential to hack into critical infrastructure systems).

Donald Trump says the DOJ is the only regulation AI needs.
https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/21/trump-ai-doj.html
But that wasn't considered enough for consumer products, food, drugs, or nuclear energy.

The New York Post has concerns about some proposals for regulating AI:

Female hormones versus equality

Let's look back at the equality movement.
Among other things and agendas, it argued that women were totally equal to men. If you suggested otherwise, you were a sexist pig! Or at the very least a sexist.

But now consider the arguments being made that Lindsay Clancy is not guilty of first degree murder for the strangulation deaths of her three precious, innocent, children.
There are literally hundreds of women in pink claiming she is not criminally responsible because her hormones ruled her body and controlled her mind. Which were not treated.

This doesn't sound like equality to me.
I don't see men claiming "My hormones made me do it."

I have utterly had it with women making excuses for female misbehavior: "My hormones made me do it."

If women want to use their hormones as an explanation for their behavior, they should drop any claims of equality.

So let them kill themselves

It is common to read that we must "affirm" the beliefs of transsexuals, else they will kill themselves.
So let them kill themselves, if that be their choice.

We should not let them tyrannize society into going along with their delusions.

Why should society give in to the demands of people who threaten to kill themselves?

Ukraine supporters and perpetual war

For those American citizens who support Ukraine, I have a question:

If, during the Cold War, if Mexico and Canada had sought to join the Warsaw Pact, would you have supported that? Putting Soviet missiles within short range of where you live.

Yet that is the mirror image of what Russia is quite reasonably opposing, allowing Ukraine to become part of NATO and put various offensive weapons within short range of its territory.

I 100% endorse the Russian POV in this.

2026-09-20

Why is there perpetual war in the Middle East?

Consider for example
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houthi%E2%80%93Saudi_Arabian_conflict?wprov=sfla1

Why are the Houthis and Saudi Arabia in conflict? Who knows? I certainly don't. Why do people in the Middle East need to be in so many conflicts?
We don't see that in Latin America, Canada, Australia, or Europe.

---------

Of course some conflicts in the Middle East have as their underlying cause the existence of Israel. But it is hard to see how this conflict can be traced back to Israel.

Ukraine and rising energy prices

Google
Ukrainian attack on Russian oil refineries

This reduction of Russia's ability to refine petroleum doesn't just affect the Russian economy, it reduces the global ability to produce refined petroleum products. Reduced supply, assuming demand stays constant, inevitably leads to higher prices. And yes, the market for petroleum products is a global one.

In general, America's foolish support for Ukraine, combined with its ongoing conflict with Iran, are the major cause of increasing energy costs.

Larry C. Johnson makes the same point in this subsequently published post:
https://sonar21.com/russia-voted-under-fire-washington-is-loading-the-tankers/

For who supplied Ukraine with what it used to attack that Russian refinery, see

The hatred of Russia

I can't emphasize enough how disgusting it is, the hatred of Russia that seems to be prevalent in some Americans and others in the West.

The creation of monsters

AI has the potential to create monsters.
We need to regulate or control that.

In more technical terms, an AI agent has a goal set. What if the goal is the destruction of humanity, or a subset thereof?

For an example of AI gone bad, see

Regarding
https://www.politico.com/news/2026/09/16/pentagon-ai-congress-worries-defense-01080418 :

How can we be 100% sure that any AI in nuclear command-and-control systems won't start a nuclear war? Where is the fail-safe assurance?

This a very difficult situation..

Our female problem

I understand that some women may have problems,  e.g
  Lindsay Clancy .
We all should appreciate her problems, but do those problems excuse her from criminal responsibility for killing her children?
In my view, absolutely not.

She is a disgusting child-murderer, and nothing can excuse her from that. She deserves the death penalty, if that were available in her case.

2026-09-05

The refusal of some women to acknowledge responsibility

Consider the case of Lindsay Clancy.
Did she kill her three innocent, prescious, pre-school children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan?
There is little disagreement on that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_the_Clancy_children?wprov=sfla1
But should she be held criminally responsible for that heinous act?
All too many women are refusing to hold their fellow female criminally responsible.

And, in a striking demonstration of female solidarity, of the nine female jurors in the (presumably first) trial of Lindsay Clancy, NOT ONE would vote to convict her of her heinous crime.
Apparently the claim of "postpartum psychosis" absolves women of responsibility for crimes that they commit.

What we are seeing, in the jury room, is female solidarity.
They (the women) just couldn't hold Lindsay Clancy criminally responsible for the heinous act she did, making it clear who they were empathetic toward.
