Why is there perpetual war in the Middle East?

Consider for example

Why are the Houthis and Saudi Arabia in conflict? Who knows? I certainly don't. Why do people in the Middle East need to be in so many conflicts?

We don't see that in Latin America, Canada, Australia, or Europe.

Of course some conflicts in the Middle East have as their underlying cause the existence of Israel. But it is hard to see how this conflict can be traced back to Israel.
