Just what is "an illegal order"?

Watch what six Democrats say:

https://www.facebook.com/SenElissaSlotkin/videos/dont-give-up-the-ship/2558895077819811/

The question is:
Just who gets to decide when an order is "illegal?"

Come on Dems, answer that.

-------

In my opinion, there can be no doubt that those people, all of whom you may note are Democrats,
are promoting confusion in the ranks for a partisan cause.

-------

The issue is discussed further here:

"Pentagon to investigate Sen. Mark Kelly for anti-Trump video
The unprecedented move comes after the retired Navy captain advised troops they don’t need to obey unlawful orders."
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/24/pentagon-to-investigate-sen-mark-kelly-for-anti-trump-video-00666894

"The Pentagon’s statement cited federal statutes that make it a crime
to attempt to “cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty” by military personnel.

“All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful,”
the Pentagon said, referring to the military’s Uniform Code of Military Justice.
“A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.” "

Sundance at CTH weighs in here, with official statements from both DoD (or War) and Hegseth.

Again, the key point is:
Just who gets to decide if an order is "illegal"?

Epstein

For many details of the case

For the original complaint of the Government of the United States Virgin Islands,
see the two PDFs in Docket Entry Number 1.

------

The fundamental, and unanswered, question about Epstein:
Why was he so well-funded?
Two of his most lavish funders are known:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Black
and
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Wexner ,
both of whom happen to be big supporters of Israel.
But even after they supposedly stopped funding him, money continued to flow in,
resulting in his estate being valued at over half a billion dollars!
Per the court Exhibit (Document 1-1) cited above,
"12. The Petition reported the value of the real and personal property in The Estate located in the Virgin Islands at $577,672,654.00 dollars."

I find it difficult to believe that the very rich were so desirous of sex with underage women that they would fund him to the extent that he was funded.
I think the known evidence points with the greatest clarity to the conclusion that Epstein was indeed running an extremely well-funded honeytrap operation to gain control over people with political power.

Someone else claims direct knowledge of this:

A news article (out of many):

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/epstein-victims-press-lawmakers-support-bill-release-hidden-files-say-americans-appalled

<Blockquote>"We filed lawsuits against Jeffrey Epstein, against his estate and against two financial institutions – JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank –
that prove that they provided, knowingly provided, the financial infrastructure for a sex trafficking operation.
Unfortunately, all of the documents and evidence that we have worked so hard to gather
hide behind protective orders, confidentiality agreements and bank secrecy laws,"
Edwards said.

...

"The documents in the possession of the CIA should be made available.
Those in the possession of the FBI going back decades should be made available.
The SEC financial records… should be made available,"
Edwards continued, as he stood alongside the victims. </Blockquote>

It is regrettable that Republicans voted against issuing subpoenas to four major banks:

"The House Judiciary Committee rejected a request from Democrats to vote on whether to subpoena the CEOs of four major banks — a bid intended to investigate the institutions’ connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein."

https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/09/17/congress/dems-fail-to-subpoena-major-banks-in-epstein-case-00569352

"Democrats began their effort with a motion to subpoena the financial transactions of Epstein, flagged as “suspicious activity reports,” and later similar such records from the Treasury Department.
"House Judiciary Committee votes down Epstein subpoenas" https://share.google/h5GzGPR2oZK02vypb

"Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday voted down four efforts from Democrats to subpoena records related to Jeffrey Epstein.

"Democrats began their effort with a motion to subpoena the financial transactions of Epstein, flagged as “suspicious activity reports,” and later similar such records from the Treasury Department.

...

"The Oversight Committee has already subpoenaed suspicious activity reports (SARs) from the Treasury Department,
a request that would encompass all SARs reported to the Treasury Department rather than just from four banks.
The department has said it will comply."

Those congressmen voting against this cannot hide behind
the claim that they are protecting the privacy of victims of Epstein.

An article about the protection Epstein received, and a billionaire who mysteriously supported, financially, Epstein:

"The Pro-Israel Billionaire Behind Jeffrey Epstein
Any congressional inquiry into the disgraced financier should look at Les Wexner."

https://www.theamericanconservative.com/the-pro-israel-billionaire-behind-jeffrey-epstein/

"If there is a key to understanding Epstein’s protection and power—
likely from intelligence agencies and foreign governments—
it may lie with Wexner."

"in fall 2019, after he was arrested, the bank
“filed two SARs flagging more than 5,000 suspicious wire transfers moving approximately $1.3 billion in and out of Epstein’s accounts.” "

$1.3 billion!!!
Holy crow.
That is very big money.
What did Epstein do to merit that amount of money?

"Israeli Spy Stayed for Weeks at a Time With Jeffrey Epstein in Manhattan"
https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/israeli-spy-yoni-koren-stayed-jeffrey-epstein-apartment-ehud-barak

"An Israeli military intelligence officer stayed at Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan apartment on at least three occasions—including once, in February 2013, while working as a senior aide to then-Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak.

Yoni Koren made his intelligence career working in covert operations alongside the Mossad, and remained a lieutenant colonel in reserve duty after he officially left the intelligence directorate.
He stayed in Epstein’s apartment again for two weeks, in October 2014, and a third time for ten more days in September 2015."

...

"the [U.S.] House panel also released a new cache of documents from Epstein’s estate containing direct evidence of Epstein’s links to Israeli intelligence:
Epstein’s personal calendars reveal that a senior Israeli intelligence officer, with personal ties to former CIA Director Leon Panetta, lived at Epstein’s Manhattan apartment for multiple stretches between 2013 and 2016.
When cross-referenced with emails leaked from the inbox of former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, a portrait emerges of Epstein at the nexus of high-ranking intelligence officials in both the U.S. and Israel.

This is the fourth piece in Drop Site’s ongoing series on Jeffrey Epstein’s role in brokering intelligence deals for Israel.

In the first, we exposed Epstein’s role in brokering a security agreement between Israel and Mongolia.
In the second, we identified Epstein’s effort to set up a backchannel between Israel and Russia during the Syria civil war.
In the third, we showed Epstein’s role as a key facilitator of a security agreement between Israel and the West African nation of Côte d’Ivoire.

Meanwhile, we’re left wondering why the rest of the media, which has demonstrated no lack of excitement when it comes to the saga of Jeffrey Epstein,
has all of a sudden lost its reporting capacity, in the face of reams of publicly available newsworthy documents."

"The Age of Disclosure"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Age_of_Disclosure
is a 2025 film which bills itself as a documentary, featuring 34 former U.S. government insiders ("talking heads") talking about what they learned.

I was somewhat surprised to learn that Amazon charges $25 to purchase long-term access ("buy") to that film, and $20 for a short-term rental.
That raised a question in my mind:
Are the people filmed talking about their experiences receiving a cut (a percentage) of the film's revenue?
Does the film's leading character, Lue Elizondo, receive a percentage?
If so, that would certainly raise questions about their motivations.
Were they motivated simply by public spirit, or perhaps the desire to increase their income?

For comparison, we have seen plenty of politicians getting quite wealthy in their post-political life via honorariums.
And of course screen actors are often well-compensated.
So it's a reasonable question.

The film encourages transparency regarding what the USG knows about UAP.
How about transparency regarding who is making money off of this film, and how much?
I.e., the financial aspects of this film.

The health care obscenity

Obscenity: some define it is something that is "disgusting".
Now, the definition of "disgusting" is obviously subjective,
but it is reasonable to consider a never-ending gross increase in the rise of health care costs, far beyond that merely due to the aging of the population, as being disgusting.

Let's do a little "deconstruction" on this rise.
Who does this rise benefit ("cui bono")?
Ostensibly, it benefits those receiving the "health care".
(Why do I put "health care" in quotation marks?
Because some are describing male castration and female mastectomy (the slicing off of female breasts), merely on a whim. as "health care.")
But who else does it benefit?
It should be clear who is disproportionately benefitting from the seemingly uncontrollable increase in the percentage of the nation's economy going to "health care."

Let me get back to the basics:
This increase in spending for "health care",
way beyond the increase in the percentage of the population that is elderly,
is obscene.
(A 10% rise in Medicare Plan B?
For no good reason!)

How would Parisa Dehghani-Tafti feel about HER home address being made publicly available?

What is causing the hemorrhaging of the national debt

Which is greater:
Spending on Social Security or on healthcare?

Social Security: ~ $1.6T
https://www.usaspending.gov/agency/social-security-administration

healthcare: ~ $4.8T, about three times what is spent on Social Security
https://www.cms.gov/data-research/statistics-trends-and-reports/national-health-expenditure-data/historical

For a prediction of future growth in healthcare spending, see
https://www.cms.gov/data-research/statistics-trends-and-reports/national-health-expenditure-data/nhe-fact-sheet

Note the astonishing and totally unsustainable past growth in healthcare spending shown here:
https://www.cms.gov/data-research/statistics-trends-and-reports/national-health-expenditure-data/historical

The Democrats are leading us straight to disaster
by claiming the U.S. needs to keep spending more, more, more on healthcare.
The U.S. simply can't afford it.
Piling up the national debt is simply sabotaging America's future.

Understanding Gaza

The October 7, 2023 attack from Gaza on Israel
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_7_attacks
brought the world's attention to Gaza.
Supporters of Israel have tried to keep the world's attention on the acts of the attackers,
and away from what might have motivated them to perform their acts.
It seems to me that comparatively little attention has been paid to those possible motivations.

As it happens, back in 2018, five years before the attack,
Norman Finkelstein wrote a whole book on the most unfortunate situation in Gaza:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza%3A_An_Inquest_into_Its_Martyrdom

I think it is well worth taking a look at,
to understand what might have motivated the attackers.
