There are many aspects to the misuse of vehicles, 
not only the use of vehicles as potentially deadly weapons,  
but also the deliberate use of vehicles to block streets.
Since when is legal to use vehicles to block streets?
Yet as videos from Minneapolis are showing, anti-ICE activists are doing exactly that in Minneapolis, and the local authorities seem to make no effort to stop them, leaving it up to ICE to clear the road.

How transgenderism harms me, and you

We all are.
Time to end specialized care for those who don't want to accept their true sex.
As an old saying went, "Grin and bear it."

"But the medical associations endorse this transgender healthcare, saying it is 'medically necessary'."
Of course they do.
Look how much income they are receiving as a result.
The conflict of interest is obvious.

I find it amazing that the medical associations chose to wade into this obviously socially divisive issue, 
rather than just sitting back and letting the social and political processes play out.

So now the Israel Firsters want us (the U.S.) to get engaged in who should run Iran?
The U.S. should back out of its engagement with the Middle East, whether that is done by overt means (direct military action) or covert means, as in the destabilization of the Assad regime in Syria.

Not only for moral and geopolitical reasons, but also for simple economic reasons.
If you add up the costs of those wars since, say 2001, the cost is in the trillions.
A burden which has been imposed, without their consent, on the next generation.

The sophistries of transgenderism supporters

I have been reading a number of the amicus curaie briefs in the

supporting transgenderism.

One thing that keeps recurring:
they keep bringing up the issue of stereotyping.

Hello.
These are two separate issues:
Stereotyping and transgenderism.
I think it important to keep that distinction in mind.

The muddled reasoning of Bostock : Bonkers Bostock

Here are two questions:
Are you a man or a woman?
Are you heterosexual or homosexual?

Are these one and the same question?
Of course not.
To demonstrate that, we have four separate categories:
Male heterosexuals, female heterosexuals, male homosexuals, and female homosexuals.
There are numerous people in each category, 
showing that the two properties, sex and sexual orientation, are independent of each other.
In fact, there is little correlation between the two properties.

What this proves is that sex is different from sexual orientation.
(Something that should have been obvious.)

So now let us be clear:
in its ruling on the Bostock case

the Supreme Court couldn't make that distinction.
The court sadly fell for the sophistical arguments of the left.

The Bostock case was clearly wrongly decided, and the court's decision should be overturned.
That may be a bridge too far, but at the least it would be desirable if future rulings avoided using Bostock as a controlling precedent.

Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority (6-3) opinion 

"An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender 
fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex."

That sentence makes a distinction between "traits or actions" and sex.

True, sex is involved in the definitions of homosexuality and heterosexuality.
But just because something IS INVOLVED IN a definition that doesn't mean it IS the definition.

The question is:
How many Supreme Court justices are capable of making that distinction?


Gorsuch wrote also in the majority opinion that it is
“impossible to discriminate against a person for being homosexual or transgender 
without discriminating against that individual based on sex.”

That is nonsense.
Of course the two mooted discriminations are distinguishable.

muddled reasoning of Bostock 
yielded this AI-generated statement:

If that was a part of their argument, that part is a glaring falsehood.
There are both male and female homosexuals:
likewise transgenders divide into those who, in one description, were "born male or female."
Ergo, sex and, either sexual or gender orientation, are quite independent properties.

Who is responsible for drug abuse?

To my mind, there is no question.
It is the drug abusers themselves who are responsible for their use of drugs.
Nobody held a gun to their heads and forced them to consume a drug.
It was their free-will choice that led to them consuming a drug.
It was their choice, and theirs alone, that led to that bad decision.

This is a pure case of individual responsibility.
It is way past time to hold people responsible for their choices.

Who are "the entitled"?

Obviously there are different definitions of that.
But I would like to nominate those who feel entitled to having the federal government subsidize their health insurance premiums.

Why on earth should the federal government be subsidizing the grossly excessive spending on healthcare?
If people need so much healthcare, let them pay for it themselves.

Let us be clear on where the burden for all this enormously excessive spending on healthcare is falling.
It is on the next generation, on whom the enormous debt caused by this spending falls.

In my view, the #1 problem in the U.S. isn't the lack of federal subsidies for healthcare spending, 
but rather the excessive national spending on healthcare.
