Don't blame the patriarchy for transgenderism
It is fashionable in some circles, especially among some left-wing women, to blame the patriarchy for transgenderism.
But let's look at a key event: the decision in
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Virginia_v._B._P._J.?wprov=sfla1
Three justices voted for BPJ (Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson). They sure don't look like members of the patriarchy. If so they are in very deep disguise.
On the other hand, ALL FIVE of the male justices voted against BPJ.
Clearly, blaming the patriarchy for transgenderism is just so much bullshit.
If you need more evidence, consider the two political parties, the Republican and Democratic.
It is the Democratic Party which leads in gaining support from women. And of course it is also the Democratic Party which is all but solidly pro-transender. Is the Democratic Party the party of patriarchy? Ha!
I totally agree that men should not be in spaces traditionally reserved for women, whether that be a rest room, changing room, locker room, female-only sports league, or whatever. But who is pushing for this?
There are plenty of women promoting transgenderism:
Megan Rapinoe
Sue Bird
Billie Jean King

a whole cohort in the WNBA,
and in the political sphere,
Kamala Harris
Laura Kelly
Kelly Ayotte
Maura Healey among others.
To blame transgenderism on the patriarchy is a bum rap.
Again, does this look like the patriarchy?
