A penis is a reality, not an assignment

It is common these days to hear the phrase "sex assigned at birth".

Having a penis is not an assignment, but a reality.

I utterly condemn those who cannot recognize that reality.

To get personal, I have a penis.
Does anyone want to claim that is the result of an "assignment at birth"?
No, that is a biological reality.
People who claim otherwise are liars, and scum.

I had observed how common the oxymoronic phrase "sex assigned at birth" had become in the media,
but wasn't aware of what was driving that.
Now there is a news article giving a clue:

https://nypost.com/2026/01/06/media/cbs-news-staff-clashed-over-transgender-language-in-internal-email-blow-up

According to this article there is something called
the "Trans Journalists Association ...
which advises reporters and editors on how to “improve news coverage of trans people and the stories that affect them.”
...
It also flags terms such as “biological sex,” “biological men” and “biological women”
as especially fraught outside medical contexts,
recommending alternatives like “assigned sex at birth”
and cautioning that some language has become politicized."

"some language has become politicized"
No kidding!
And just who has made this a political issue?

BTW, this accomplishes the goal of the Newspeak discussed in Orwell's 1984:
The attempt to control thought by  controlling language,
by eradicating a concept,
in this case that of biological sex
(except within highly circunscribed situations).
