Israel was founded as a nation in 1948.

Was the U.S. involved in military conflicts in the Middle East prior to Israel's founding? Not significantly.

But since Israel's founding, the US has been seriously involved in the Middle East on multiple occasions, up to and including today.

I don't think that is a coincidence.
