Mobs in Minneapolis, Minnesota versus justice

Question:
What is a riot?
According to Oxford Language, definition #1 for riot is
"1. a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd."

Does this comport with what mobs in Minneapolis have been doing?
With regard to violence, I would have to say not in general, but in at least one case it does, when a rioter bit off part of a finger of a heroic ICE agent.

But the Minneapolis mobs have certainly more than fulfilled the other part of the definition:
"a disturbance of the peace by a crowd".
E.g.

Those Minneapolis mobs are disturbing the peace.
It is a major issue that the local authorities in Minneapolis are not willing to bring those mobs under control,
allowing the brave, heroic, ICE agents to do their valuable work.

Will the person who maimed the ICE agent be brought to justice?
Do the Minneapolis authorities, such as they are, give a fuck about such things?
We shall see.
I suspect not.
But we shall see.

I hope some people care about, and value, the extremely difficult work the ICE agents are doing for the greater good.

------

With regard to the police force in Minneapolis,

I can certainly appreciate how they are stretched thin and overworked,
and may not have the resources to deal with the thousands of left wing agitators and rioters who are so evidently disturbing the peace.
