There is a lot of academic stuff about how today’s young people are less well off than their elders in terms of job opportunities and the debt burden.
Some personal observations may add to the picture.
In two key areas, housing affordability and educational costs, today’s young have a much steeper hill to climb than their elders had.
In the early 1960s, when I was applying to college, Ivy League tuitions were around $1500.
